BENEFITS OF DRINKING WATER

Hey Everyone! We have had some hot temperatures over the past few weeks and the number one way to stay hydrated is to drink ….. you guessed it, WATER!!!

I know some people go for kool-aid, sodas and other beverages. There is nothing like water to keep you cool in the summer heat. What is your beverage of choice?

  • Water helps regulate body temperature.
  • Keeps joints lubricated.
  • Prevents infections.
  • Delivers nutrients to cells.
  • Keeps organs functioning properly.
  • It delivers oxygen throughout the body.
  • It flushes body waste.

WHEN TO DRINK MORE WATER:

  • When you have a fever: Hydrate to ensure the body can transfer nutrients smoothly and heal quicker.
  • During summer: As you lose more water, sweating and drinking water can help regulate body temperature.
  • During constipation, diarrhea, and vomiting: Can monitor body functioning and replenish water supply lost during diarrhea and vomiting.
  • During pregnancy: While pregnant or breastfeeding, women will require more than the average amount of water. They will need to increase their intake to at least 10-13 cups daily.

ONE WAY TO CHECK TO SEE IF YOU DRINKING ENOUGH?

  • Your urine will be colorless to light yellow.
