What goes with black olives on pizza?

Hey Everyone!

Who likes pizza? We literally eat pizza each week, yes weekly. The thing is, we love to make our own and its healthier than most you get from the store. Making your own pizza helps you to control your ingredients. My husband usually makes the pizza (homemade crust) and add toppings. It is also a great way to get additional veggies in. We love to do veggie pizzas. The other day my husband did something a little different by adding black olives to the pizza. Honestly, I have never bought olives!!!!! Seriously, but it wasn’t a bad addition.

What are olives?

Olives are fruit that grows on trees and as they ripen, they turn may turn black. They vary in size, color, shape and flavor.

Health Benefits?

Vitamin E is an antioxidant nutrient that supports immune system function and protects the body’s cells, particularly those of the brain, lung and red blood cells, from damage.

Most of the fat in black olives is heart-healthy monounsaturated fat.

So, this fruit can be used on salads, sandwiches and pizza. Along with the black olives, we add red and green bell peppers, spinach and follow your heart cheese.

So, what else can you add to your pizza with the black olives? Recently we added zucchini and peppers. Yes, zucchini and it was good. It is a great way to get extra vegetables.
