VEGAN CHICKPEA BROWNIES

Hey Everyone!

Do you like chickpeas? Have you ever thought to use them for a healthy dessert? Once I started on the plant based journey, I realized just how many budget friendly meals and snacks that can be made.

What are Chickpeas?

Chickpeas or garbanzo beans are a plant family of legumes. They are a great source of fiber and protein. They can be used as meatballs, cookie dough or in a burrito. How awesome is that? Buy a very inexpensive can of peas and cook up something healthy in no time.

These brownies are soft and gives you just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sweet and rich, especially if you want to still eat desserts, but desire to cut back ——- THESE ARE FOR YOU !!!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chickpea, drained
  • 1/2 melted peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop protein powder

Mix all ingredients. Pour in square baking pan. Bake @350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

This is super easy and delicious!
