Hey Everybody! If you are looking for an easy meal idea that is still healthy for you, try this salmon and brown rice dish. It is very simple. Salmon is lean and does not take long to prepare at all. Remember if you are short on time, there is always a meal that can be whipped up in no time! In my household, we eat salmon regularly, but this time I decided to add a little something to it by making a super easy sauce to drizzle. Let’s get to it:
Here is what you need:
- Salmon (fresh or frozen)
- lemon pepper
- olive oil
Honey Mustard Sauce
- yellow mustard
- First I made brown rice as directed. Next I got my pan and added a little olive oil to my pan. When it began to heat I placed my salmon in to the pan. Remember salmon does not take long to cook so once it gets brown on one side, flip it over. After I flipped salmon over, I added my honey mustard sauce (mixed 1/4 c of honey and 1/4 cup of mustard in a small bowl) to top of salmon and continue to let it cook in pan until completely done.
- I plated my brown rice and placed a piece of salmon on top and that was it. Pair with your choice of vegetables.
