Hey Everybody! Today I decided to make something that most people in America love to eat… PIZZA!!! Who doesn’t love to eat pizza, especially kids!! Pizza is usually something to eat that is quick and easy to order for MOST. I grew up eating pizza and enjoyed to eat it even into my adults years, but it is full of unhealthy fats, calories and can pack on the pounds. I am not going to tell you to stop eating pizza, but I will tell you to make some adjustments. Try making your own version of pizza in the comfort of your own home. In doing this you can save lots of calories. If you have kids..this will be something they would enjoy to help make, especially if they will eat it.
I will show you how I made small pizzas that are about 195 calories total (if you ate both small pizzas). One slice of pizza can be maybe over 300 or 400 calories and offer no nutritional benefits.
Here is what you need:
- 1 whole wheat flatbread round 100 calories (each side 50 calories)
- 2 tbsp of pasta sauce (30 calories)
- 1/2 c fresh spinach
- 1/4 c of color diced sauteed peppers(15 calories)
- 1/8 c of cheddar cheese (or a little under 2 tbsp) *optional* (50calories)
Remember Small Steps Equals BIG Change!!!! Substitute a few ingredients and you can have yourself a healthier meal!!
